A year ago I wrote about trade show preparations and how i choose my travel projects. Wow, what a year it’s been!
Travel Projects
While my overall project choice philosophy remains the same, one thing that has changed in the past year is my desire to travel with less. While I’d love to bring a spindle with me and have uninterrupted hours to make new yarn, I doubt that I’ll have as much time of my own as I think I will.
I want to relax and make something for me, however, I have several projects I need to complete. Yarn is coming home with me for future Anzula Meet the Yarn posts, so I know I won’t be wanting for projects. My compromise? Split the difference! The Houldsworth Gloves in Anzula Gerty, which have practically languished since their January photoshoot! I need to work on the Gerty crochet swatches soon, so this will help me be productive by knowing how it works up knitted and help me prepare for next winter. I know I’m not alone in making these sorts of decisions.
TNNASummer2018
This year my TNNA Show experience is focused on PennyWise Consulting, a Business and Creative Services Spotlight exhibitor on Sunday June 17 from 10-1pm at booth #642. This is a new structure for the organization. Please visit Jill Wolcott Knits and Jen Lucas Designs on Friday and Saturday respectively.
If you would like to talk about design opportunities, please contact me! I’d love to talk with you.
My samples for LGF Suris will make their debut. Last night ends were woven in and today they learned their names. There will also be a simple design at Oink Pigments (if the foster kittens let me finish it!).
I look forward to meeting up with designers, LYS Owners, and Yarn Companies at the Summer TNNA Show!
