intentional knitting and crochet with curiosity and care
Let’s embrace the magic of play. As adults, we need to be brave and try new things, starting small and following our curiosity.
It’s what you’ll find at little acorn creations, from one-on-one instruction to systematic exploration of materials and techniques.

Working together
Whether you need help with a technique, someone to work alongside while you figure things out, or professional services done thoughtfully—the approach is always about exploration and care.
Every project starts with conversation to understand what you need and how you learn best. Sometimes that’s technical instruction, sometimes it’s companionable conversation while we work, sometimes it’s professional sample work or finishing done with attention to detail.
IYT
I’m exploring something I currently call Intentional Yarn Therapy. There’s something about the rhythm of knitting and crochet that creates space for whatever’s on your mind. It can be as simple as “what’s for lunch?” or it might be for processing a bigger life change while your hands stay busy.
It’s not therapy in the formal sense, just recognizing what many of us already know: working with yarn can be quietly healing.

Swatch Library Project
What started as simple documentation grew into building a personal archive where each small step brings a lesson.
By learning to systematically swatch and being mindful about recording little details like fiber content, stitch behavior, and drape, each becomes part of a reliable reference for future projects. It’s methodical play that builds practical knowledge over time.
