Patterns often end up very different than how they were first sketched. My cat, Shadow, kept stealing from my production of partially made catnip-filled mice. I finally gave up after he tried to pull one from the crochet hook and finished off just the tail end of a mouse and tossed it to him.
Later that day he was still having fun flipping and chasing and carrying it around the house. That night I woke to find him playing with it in bed.
It took longer than expected to write up the pattern because he kept stealing the samples before I could photograph them and demanding snuggles while I tried to type.
I hope you enjoy crocheting them for the special feline in your life.
