Northern Lights Wrap

Beautiful hand painted yarn inspires swirls of mesh lace.

Category: Tags: ,

Designed for the July 2021 Artyarns Inspirations Club, this mesh lace design allows hand painted skeins to shine.

Worked from the center out, this striped wrap draws inspiration from the aurora borealis.

The mesh lace fabric provides drape evocative of the swirls seen in the sky. The center star motif begins a glow morphing into the center square culminating in the stripes of the wrap.

You have a choice for working each side, they can have the same stripe sequence or different.

Sample is shown with different sequences.

This pattern includes written instructions only. It is worked both in the round to create the center motif and flat to work the sides of the wrap.
