Description
Cirrostratus clouds are light wisps that spread out high up in the troposphere. This cowl takes several characteristics from them–it’s large, thin, and light. The silk mohair worked at such a large gauge creates a slight fuzzy (or hazy) look. However, unlike the clouds that are composed of ice crystals, this cowl will keep you warm and toasty.
Wear it however you wish. I like to twist it upon itself and wear it doubled. Loop it through itself to create a small scarf. While my shoulder width is small, it might be fun to create a gather at one shoulder with a shawl pin and wear it as a poncho.
The long color changes of the ombre help you to change up the look without crocheting a new one–as you loop the cowl, decide which colors you want in front. It is a straightforward design and worked in the round, it’s a project that’s great for working on while watching TV or listening to audio (books/podcasts).
